Shomit Ghose CEO
Shomit Ghose is a seasoned technology executive. He has spent the last
9 years guiding companies to success at ONSET Ventures, with a focus
on software, networking and infrastructure startups. Prior to joining
ONSET, he was Sr. VP of Operations at Tumbleweed Communications, where
he helped the company through a successful IPO in 1999. Previously, he
was VP of the Worldwide Professional Services Organization at
BroadVision and helped that company through a successful IPO in 1996.
He was also an engineer in the original pre-IPO software development
team at Sun Microsystems; Director of Marketing and then Director of
Asia/Pacific Operations for nCUBE, a manufacturer of video-on-demand
servers; and a board member of Alier, a data integration software
company that is now part of webMethods. Shomit was awarded two
academic scholarships to the University of California, Berkeley, at
age 15. He graduated in 1982 with a degree in Computer Science. He is
an Industry Fellow and lead venture coach at UC Berkeley’s College of
Engineering, and serves on the entrepreneurship advisory board at the
University of San Francisco.
Michael Franklin CTO and Founder
Michael Franklin, Ph.D. is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he has been on the faculty since 1999. At Berkeley his research focuses on the architecture and performance of distributed data management and information systems. His recent projects cover the areas of wireless sensor networks, XML message brokers, data stream processing, scientific grid computing, and data management for the digital home. Earlier in his career, he spent five years as a database systems developer. He has held consulting and advisory roles at a number of leading companies, including Intel, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, The Mayfield Fund, and Bell Laboratories, and has served on Technical Advisory Boards for technology start ups including: Business Signatures, DATAllegro, Appstream, RightOrder, and WiseNut. He is a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery, a recipient of the National Science Foundation Career Award, and the ACM SIGMOD "Test of Time" award. Mike has his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1993, an M.S.E. from Wang Institute of Graduate Studies in 1986, and a B.S. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1983.
Sailesh Krishnamurthy Vice President of Technology and Founder

Sailesh Krishnamurthy, Ph.D. is responsible for setting and driving the overall
technical strategy and direction for the Truviso product and solution portfolio.
In addition, he works in close collaboration with marketing, sales and engineering
teams in managing the product and solution roadmap, performance engineering,
and technology evangelism. Previously, he built and managed the initial engineering,
services and support teams at Truviso. Sailesh is a leading authority in the
field of enterprise data management with over a dozen published academic papers
and several U.S. patents. Sailesh investigated the technical ideas at the heart
of Truviso's products as part of his doctoral research on stream query processing,
earning a PhD. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley in 2006. Prior to graduate
work at Berkeley, he worked at the Database Technology Institute at IBM Corporation
where he designed and developed advanced features in IBM database products. Earlier,
he worked on a Java virtual machine implementation at Netscape Communications.
Sailesh has a Master's degree in computer Science from Purdue University and
a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology
and Science in Pilani, India.
Kim MacPherson Senior Vice President
Kim MacPherson leads the product development, customer and business operations teams for Truviso. Kim ensures the successful delivery and implementation of Continuous Analytics solutions for all of Truviso’s customers. Kim’s experience in building and launching high value products and services for both large and small enterprises makes her uniquely qualified to pioneer massively scalable, high-performance and easy-to-use solutions for the digital media market. Prior to joining Truviso, Kim was Vice President of engineering, professional services and consulting teams at EMC and RSA Security, building and launching new products and services for the Global Service and Security divisions. Kim joined RSA through the acquisition of Passmark Security, a rapid growth software company providing security solutions to financial services institutions. Kim has also worked at Intuit building and launching online consumer services such as Turbo Tax Electronic Filing and Quicken.com.
